• i
  info: WEVO - CONCORD, NH

From the NRSC list: 89.10 MHz, PI code 6168, FCC facility 48438.
• i
  info: RadioDNS lookup name

  08910.6168.6a0.fm.radiodns.org (frequency 89.10 MHz, PI 6168, country code 6a0)

1. RadioDNS registration

• ✓

2. Service discovery (SRV records)

• i
  info: _radiospi._tcp.radiodns.prss.org: not published
• ✓
  pass: _radioepg._tcp.radiodns.prss.org published

  priority 10, weight 60, port 80 -> radiodns.prss.org [target is an alias of contentdepot.prss.org]
• !
warn: SRV target radiodns.prss.org is a CNAME alias

DNS rules (RFC 2782) say an SRV record should point at a name that has address records directly, not at an alias. Many resolvers cope, some do not.

What to do: Give radiodns.prss.org its own A/AAAA record (or point the SRV record at the real host name).
• !
warn: Only the older _radioepg record is published

What to do: Add _radiospi._tcp.radiodns.prss.org on port 443 as well, so receivers that use HTTPS can find the SI file.
• i
  info: _radiovis._tcp: not published

Slideshow/visuals (STOMP) - optional, only needed for a live slideshow service.
• i
  info: _radiopush._tcp: not published

Slideshow/visuals (Server-Sent Events) - optional, only needed for a live slideshow service.
• i
  info: _radiovis-http._tcp: not published

Slideshow/visuals (HTTP) - optional, only needed for a live slideshow service.

3. Service Information file (SI.xml)

• ✓
  pass: HTTP endpoint http://radiodns.prss.org/radiodns/spi/3.1/SI.xml answered

  385 ms, 261,419 bytes
• ✓
  pass: Content type is application/xml
• !
warn: SI file has no caching headers

What to do: Add Cache-Control: max-age (for example 86400 for 24 hours). Without it, receivers guess - and some ignore the content.
• ✓
pass: The file follows the official SI schema (current (3.4/3.5))

Validated against the schema published by WorldDAB/RadioDNS.
