Engineering helpFAA check for towers

About the list

  • Each listing is an entry in the Antenna Structure Registration (ASR) records kept by the FCC, updated each night. Only structures the FCC shows as built and still standing appear.
  • Registration is required for any structure that needs FAA notice (47 CFR 17.4), typically one near an airport or rising more than 200 feet (61 m) from the ground. Many shorter towers, rooftops and poles are unregistered, so a site may hold more structures than appear here.
  • Structure types are the FCC's codes spelled out in full. "Tower 2 of a 3-tower array" refers to one tower in an AM station's array.
  • Heights are the registered overall height above ground, counting antennas and lighting, along with the top elevation above mean sea level.

Not an FCC product. Verify the FCC registration and talk to the tower owner before building plans around any structure.
